West Boggs, just outside of Loogootee, will be the place to be the last weekend in September when the Vintage Camper Rally rolls into the park.
“This will be our fourth year for the Vintage Camper Rally to be here,” said West Boggs Superintendent Jameson Hibbs. “It’s been growing every year.”
Hibbs said the scenic park and lake had one entire camping section filled with vintage campers last year.

“Anything prior to 1984 is considered vintage. Last year we had more than 25,” said Hibbs, who said on Sept. 28, the community is invited to come check out the campers during an open-house style event. “Some of them have themes. It’s pretty cool. Most of the campers will be down in the Red Fox camping area.”
Jim and Donna Stoughton do the organizing of the event.
“They organize some other activities for those bringing in their campers,” said Hibbs, who said some spots are still available for this year’s event. “The campers typically start coming in on Thursday.”
In addition to the camper tours on Saturday, the park will also be hosting a Martin County Safe event for the community featuring area law enforcement.
“We will be offering free admission to the park on Saturday,” said Hibbs.
